After retiring from the military in 1991, I moved to Houston. I completed my engineering degree at the University of Houston graduating Cum Laude. Was Drafting Department Supervisor for Foster Wheeler until after 9/11. Army called and asked me to come to Ft. Rucker and teach flight training. I had just gone through a divorce and thought why not. Quit my job and moved to Alabama and taught for two years. I then accepted a job flying for Acadian Ambulance in Lake Charles and flew for them for 4 years until I remarried in 2008. Currently I am working for ConocoPhillips in New Orleans and spending my spare time fishing and rebuilding my wife's home that was flooded from Hurricane Katrina.

I think the one story that stands out the most was during freshman year. David, Paul, Brad, and I skipped Mr. Bates study hall to go to the gym and got caught. We received an F for the 6 weeks in PE and had to stay after school for 2 hrs all week to weed the gardens. Try dishing out a punishment like that in school today.
