Graduated from Texas A&M in 1973 with a BS, then graduated from the University of North Carolina with an MS in 1975. I moved back to Texas to work. I have worked as a fund raiser since 1979 in San Antonio for the San Antonio Zoo, the American Red Cross, Planned Parenthood, and now the McNay Art Museum since 2001. I married Mark in 1982 and we have one child. I was a stay at home mom for 6 years, but I enjoy working. I have a great job that I enjoy, I raise money, approximately $400,000 - $600,000 each year, for the special exhibitions that the museum mounts. Needless to say, the last few months have been very challenging. In addition, I collect works on paper (prints, watercolors, and pastels) especially contemporary French and American artists. I am very active in the museum's support group for the prints and drawings department. My sister Jane and I will be traveling with this group to Chicago in October. Mark, Koehl and I enjoy dining out and we try to get to one A&M football game every year. My other two favorite hobbies are reading - mysteries and science fiction, and watching movies - new, old, good or bad. We also enjoy entertaining friends at home. We have a great deck and we feed deer all year round.
