Greetings Class of 1994,

It is so hard to imagine that 20 Years have passed since we departed the hallowed halls of our beloved “Alma Mater”, South Carolina State University, although it was “College” when we arrived to begin our life’s journey.   No matter what path we chose once we left, we all still have this common bond that binds us together for eternity…our love for SCSU!

We come back to celebrate events like Founders Day, Graduation, and Homecoming just to name a few.  These are the times that we relive our years at this Historic Institution and catch up with old friends and professors.   For more than 118 Years, our Alma Mater has been educating some of the brightest men and women, this includes you and me.  Now the time has come for us on Our Twenty (20) Year Anniversary as Alumni to show our Love, Honor, and Appreciation to the Legacy by Showing Up and Showing Our Support Financially.

How can your financial support help on a regular basis? I’m so glad that you asked. We are asking the Class of ’94 to start donating regularly by adding SCSU to your monthly budget.  We are asking you to commit to a monthly $ amount ($25, $50, $75, etc...)  that will go to the Class account in the Foundation and we as a Class can determine how it will be distributed unless you choose to “ear mark” your funds to a specific area of choice.  We all know that a one-time donation is great, but an ongoing donation can amount to so much more over the life of your giving.

As fore-mentioned, we will be celebrating our 20 YEAR REUNION this year during Homecoming Weekend October 31-November 2, 2014.  We have worked with the Office of Alumni Relations, The National Alumni Association, and The State Club to ensure that we have a FUN FILLED WEEKEND while remembering what our commitment to the University is all about.

The Class will be participating in the HC Parade to commemorate our 20 Year Reunion and we will have a float.   There will be a check presentation at half-time; however that will be based on the overall amount of the class contribution/pledge to the University.

We do have a Room Block this year at the Comfort Inn & Suites (Formerly the Best Western). However, due to the limited amount of rooms that we have, it has been decided that we will only be able to release rooms to those persons who actually register for the Reunion. This ensures that those persons have accommodations for the HC events.

Special Note:  Your Registration Form is included with this letter.  The Reunion Administration Fee does include the cost of the Welcome Reception and also helps to offset some of the cost that the Office of Alumni Relations will incur while assisting us in the planning.  Thank you.
