Donald Heiney (1970)

Bruce was part of the Orefield Crowd. I recently saw a memorial brick for him at the Eygpt VFW Post War Memorial. Sorry to see him gone.

Raymond Geiger (1970)

Bruce David Rex, 57 years of N. Catasauqua, died in Lehigh Valley Hospital-Muhlenberg, Bethlehem Sunday, February 7, 2010. He was married to Nanette (DeWitt) Rex for 22 years in May of 2009. Born in Orefield he was the son of Mollie (Steckel) Rex of Orefield and the late David P. Rex. He was a member of Salem United Church of Christ of Catasauqua where he was a church elder and served on the consistory. Bruce was presently working as a maintenance worker for the Reading Eagle Newspaper and had previously been employed with National Inserting Systems for many years. Survivors: Surviving with his wife, are daughters, Sonya wife of Spiros Bilianis of Stroudsburg, Elizabeth Rex at home; son, Kerrington Paul husband of Michele Schmieding of Kunkletown, PA; sisters, Barbara Grimm, Brenda Eisenhard and Bonnie Rex; and grandchildren, Nikos, Alex, Chris and Ashley. He was preceded in death by a brother, Barry Rex. Services: Services have been rescheduled to 7 p.m. Friday, February 12 in Salem United Church of Christ 615 Third Street Catasauqua, PA 18032. Call 6:30 p.m. until 7 p.m. in the church. The Brubaker Funeral Home of Catasauqua is in charge of arrangements. Online condolences may be made to the family at www.brubakerfuneralhome.com
