JOSEPH D. MOLNAR

Joseph Dennis Molnar, 62, of Perrysburg, Ohio died, Thursday, December 21, 2006, at the MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, Texas after a long and courageous battle with leukemia.

He was born on July 26, 1944, in Oregon, Ohio to Joseph A. and Rose (Fabian) Molnar. In 1966, he graduated from the University of Toledo and later earned a Masters of Business Administration from New York University in 1977. He was married on July 12, 1969, in Toledo to Marsha C. Jennings.

His career at Owens-Illinois began in 1966 and spanned over 35 years. He started as a salesman, advanced to sales manager and ultimately retired as an Industry Manager in the O-I Healthcare Division in 2001. After a brief retirement, he joined GreenLine Foods of Bowling Green where he was a Retail Business Development Manager. He was currently serving on the Northwestern Water and Sewer Board.

Mr. Molnar enjoyed fishing, hunting, motorcycle riding, gardening, and, most importantly, spending time with his friends, family, and grandchildren. He is survived by his wife, Marsha of Perrysburg, Ohio; daughters, Cynthia J. (Graham) Weaver of Mill Valley, California, and Catherine M. (Sean) McCosh of Cincinnati, Ohio; grandchildren, Chase and Blake Weaver, Keely and Ainsley McCosh; mother, Rose Molnar of Oregon, Ohio; brother, Richard (Barbara) Molnar of Perrysburg, OH.

Friends and family will be received from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Friday, January 5, 2007, in the Witzler-Shank Funeral Home, 222 E. S. Boundary St., Perrysburg, OH (419-874-3133). A Memorial service will be at 11 a.m. on Saturday, January 6, 2007, at Zoar Lutheran Church, 314 E. Indiana Ave., Perrysburg, OH with Pastor Timothy P. Philabaum officiating. Burial will be private. The family suggests memorials be in the form of contributions to The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center, 1515 Holcombe Blvd., Houston, TX 77030 or to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, 902 Westpoint Parkway, Cleveland, OH 44145.
