Janet Marie Yearsley-Benson born June 5, 1944 in San Francisco CA, to Dale and Norma Audene Jones- Yearsley passed away peacefully surrounded by loved ones on April 1, 2014. Janet Suffered a massive stroke on October 10, 2010 which has led up to her passing.

Shortly after Janets birth she moved to Utah and was a graduate of Orem High in 1962 where she was very active in student government. Upon graduation she completed cosmetology school in 1964. In August of 1968 she married her eternal companion and sweetheart Ronald Alvin Benson in the Salt Lake Temple. Together they had 3 children, Travis, Marie and Bradley. She was preceded in death by Marie and Bradley in 2006.

Janet was an active member of the LDS faith and served diligently among her many callings. She was an avid baseball fan who loved the game.

Janet is survived by her husband Ron Benson, Son Travis (Wendy), Sister Merle Craig (Paul), daughter in-law Tara DiGenova and her cherished grandchildren; Victoria, Alyssa, Ashley, Sarah, Chloe, Nick and Marley.

Janet was dearly loved, services will be held on Monday April 7, 2014 at 1:00pm at her home ward chapel located at 1260 West 1150 North in Provo. A viewing will be held Sunday evening from 6-8pm at the Sundberg-Olpin Funeral Home at 495 South State Street in Orem and from 11:30-12:30 Monday at the chapel prior to the services. Interment will be held at the Orem City Cemetery 1520 North 800 East Orem, Utah.
