Comments:

Life has been good. I have 2 beautiful children, a wonderful man, wonderful friends and a great career. Magan is attending Valancia, she is on the long term program and Matt is working for a wholesale auto dealership. He decided school wasn't for him right now. I am still hopeful. They are both still at home, for which I am thankful as I know I am on borrowed time. Dirk and I have been together for the past 7 years and since I wasn't good at the first one I am taking my time. Although I am in the mortgage business, and we have all heard the news, I have been with Regions for 10 years and in the business for over 25, so I have a good customer base. Today business is more of a challenge but I am optimistic.

School Story:

As for school memories, way to many, and all good. All my school memories center around the friends, Alison & Sheila come to mind first, but way to many to list.

Lots of center around being a majorette like taking the bus to games, Burger Chef afterwards, just all the fun. Can hardly remember all the practices on the hot parking lot in the heat of summer.

Other memories are of all the trips to the beach. The ride to and from. The Islander for our Senior Trip as we decided not to go with the crowd.

Extracurricular Activities in High School:

As I memtioned I was a majorette. So many fun times and a wide array of friends.

Did you follow the career path you had planned in high school?

I had no idea what I wanted to be during high school (I guess my children got it from me). Got lucky I guess and was hired as receptionist in the mortgage department. Spent a couple of years processing/closing before I started originating mortgage business. The biggest step was going on 100% commission. Sometimes is was the greatest decision of all and at other times not such a good one.

It's Saturday Night: Where were you THEN?

I was probably with friends and or the boyfriend. Can't really remembered what we did on Saturday. Remember Friday nights were devoted to the Football games.

After high school was another story. It was Nichol's Alley, ABC Country, & Church Street.

It's Saturday Night: Where are you NOW?

Now it would be dinner out. I can't remember the last time I have been to a club.... yes I do, it was in South Beach to celebrate our 40th birthday with the girls.

What kind of car did you drive in high school? Did you carpool? If so, with whom?

I could use my Mom's mustang. It was not really mine until graduation. We all loved going to the beach in it. My favorite was driving Alison's Toyota because it was a stick shift. She taught me to drive it.

What are your best and worst high school memories?

The funniest memory that comes to mind is when I could not get up the hill heading east on Silver Star, right in front of that gas station.
We were going to school so there was a line of cars behind us. I was driving Alison's car (stick shift remember) and every time I tried to accelerate the car would stall. Finally we had to change driver's. Talk about embarassing. I was the one who had to get out and run around, as Alison jumped from the passenger seat to the driver's seat.

Magan and I cable flying. It is the closest thing to bungy jumping in Orlando. It was for her 16th birthday and she had her mind set on doing it.
