He passed away of cancer. He is survived by wife Dina Lynn, 3 sons, 1 daughter, 2 daughters-in-law, 2 sisters, 1 brother. There will be a celebration of his life with an Irish Wake at the home of John and Dina Jacobs of Fuquay at 6:00pm on Friday the 30th. In lieu of flowers, donations to the family can be made through Life Spring Community Church in FV or to the American Cancer Society

I often think about you Rod. You were such an inspiration. A man of God who kept his faith through it all. A man who continued to encourage others while enduring a journey that eventually led you home to be with Jesus. I pray your family is doing the best they can without you physically in their lives. You remain in the thoughts and hearts so many.
