I too had been in contact with Krisitie right before her death. Her untimely and unexpected death only highlights how fragile we all really are. Her death paints a clear picture of how life is so short and can be taken from us in a blink of an eye. My hope is that in the end Kristie had come to believe that she mattered. That others loved, valued and respected her. If only she could know how much she will be missed but also know that she will live on in the hearts of so many. Kristie you endured much in your life and yet you found the strength to go on. You touched many lives just by being you in many different ways. May God watch over those you left behind and may they find peace, comfort and salvation in the God you believed in so that you can all be together again one day. Until then Krisite the Class Of 1981 salutes you for the young girl you were and the woman you became. Rest in eternal peace Kristie Barr-Mitrikov.
