I remember Micky Jackson as a good man. I remember his brother retaliating because I accidently jumped on his shoe and hurt his foot outside the old cafetiria. I whacked him back pretty good. I feared Micky was going to clean my clock the next day. He was very capable of doing so. He didn't. I looked at Mickey in a very different light from then on. Very fondly.
My strongest memory of Micky was the night he died. I was playing in a band at the then "Heintz" lounge near Colonial plaza. Mickey came up to the stage to say hi. We shook hands and exchanged a few words and that was the last time I saw him. I'll never forget the glowing smile on his face that night. He looked so peaceful with a glowing aura about him.
Just wanted to say hello again Mic. Save a place for me up there. Oh yea......thanks for letting me slide that day.

Mickey was indeed a good person. I lived a couple of streets over from him in Sky Lake and we were
fraternity brothers (diferent chapters). I took off from work and went to Mickey's viewing, it was a sad
day and a loss for everyone. His life has surely been missed by all.
