Still have family around Oroville?

Mother in law and brother in law

If you don't live in Oroville, would you ever move back?

After the reunion I would say maybe.

School Story:

I remember sitting in english class (this was Mr Wylies class) when we had a student teacher and she wanted us to listen to Simon and Garfunkels "Bridge Over Trouble Waters" and then write how the song made us feel. I thought it was totally cool to be able to do that in class I mean come on such unconventional thinking. Made the rebel in me come out even more.

What are your favorite high school memories?

Trying to sneek across the senior lawn with out getting caught and then becoming a senior and watching for underclassmen trying to do the same thing. Oh and the time the guys from up around bangor came to school with a pick up truck full of snow and everyone having a snowball fight. So much fun.

What's your story since high school?

Married, raising children, teaching at an adult computer school, retirement, enjoying grandchildren. In 1995 I became a chat host for AOL in the quilting chat. I worked my way up and became the chat coordinator for the Quilting forum on AOL. I finally burned myself out in 2001 and left AOL but did enjoy my time there. I still have an account there but don't pay for it because of modern technology and the cable modem........LOL

Do you still see/talk to/hang out with any classmates? Who?

Yes, Claudia Hatfield

What are your interests, hobbies, avocations?

Quilting, digi scrapbooking, gardening.

Do you travel much?

Not anymore. We finally settled down in Slidell. Back in 1984. Love this town and the people in it. Wouldn't trade it for any other place in the world. It doesn't snow. Only travel I do is to Houston once a year for the international quilt festival.

What countries have you been to?

Mexico and Canada

Have you done anything that would surprise us? Body piercings? Tatoos? Unusual trips, jobs, etc.

For my 50th birthday got my first tatoo. Always wanted one and finally got it. Am a Katrina survivor and no not a "New Orleans" survivor. Have three little yippie dogs. A poodle named Mr. Bo Jangles, a yorkie name Cujo and a female yorkie named Tinkerbell. And also rescued a pit bull puppy a couple of weeks ago. The neighbor (a renter) didn't want her any more and just tossed her out on the street. She wasn't being fed or taken care of in any way. So Donald and I took her in until we can find a good home for her. Poor thing. She is so sweet. I can't see how anyone can just mistreat an animal like that. It is a shame and I should have reported them but I didn't want the pound to take her cause they would have put her to sleep. And I am happy to report she is putting on weight and looking so good. See what a little love and tenderness (and good dog food) can do. hehehe

What are some of your favorite movies? TV shows?

Amazing Race, Big Brother, Survivor, CSI But don't watch much tv. Just these listed. Favorite movie of all time Gone With The Wind. But enjoy a good comedy, romance or suspense. I just watched a movie the other day called The Visitor. What a sad movie. It is worth the time to watch it.

What are the last 3 books you read?

I just finished a book called The Road, by Cormic McCarthy. OMG! This is one of the saddest books I have read in forever. They have made a movie of it and I can tell you now I don't know if I want to see it. The author also wrote No Country For Old Men.
The Lovely Bones, by Alice Sebold. They have made a movie of this and I saw the preview so wanted to read the book. It is a book that will make you cry but also smile. Very interesting take on heaven.
All the Twilight series.
The Shack by WM. Paul Young.
Love anything to read about vampires (would have made a great goth if it had been around in 69...........hehehe

What were your favorite songs in high school?

Can't list them all but will say that my favorite groups or singers were: The Doors, The Who, Jefferson Airplane, (loved White Rabbit). Simon and Garfunkel, Hermans Hermits, Of course The Beatles, Iron Butterfly (Inagadavida), Creedence (CCR), Chad and Jeremy, Janis Joplin, Jimmy Hendrex.

Pat O's sign. Of course you couldn't find a table to sit at but hey it is still great to go to the piano bar and listen.

When I saw these two characters I had to get a picture. You see this a lot in the Quarter. And it doesn't have to be Mardi Gras or Halloween. Any celebration brings out the fun nuts. LOL I got a two for one deal here. The King of Kings and the King of Rock N Roll.

Another character. This man was stopped right where he was and didn't move at all. Except to say thank you for any tips. And all that moved was his mouth.

One of the many buildings in the Quarter. On Bourbon and St. Peter corner. I love the wrought iron look in the Quarter.
