Still have family around Oroville?

All my family of origin still lives there and 2 out of 3 of my daughters.

If you don't live in Oroville, would you ever move back?

Yes! I have moved away and moved back SEVERAL times... Oroville is my home town and always will be.

School Story:

Will fill in later when I can remember it...

What are your favorite high school memories?

I moved to Oroville to live with my father and step mother at the beginning of my sophomore year. My brother Leonard (class of 71) had moved there a few years earlier. So, even though we had the same last name, many people did not realize we were siblings. We often played a game where he would walk me to class, put his arm around me, etc. to make certain girls jealous.

Leonard also did other crazier things like ride a horse to school and shave his head (made everyone think the coach did it). He was definitely the class clown type. I always thought he could have had a career as a stand up comic. If you ever want to hear some of his crazy stories, stop by his BBQ place on Myers Street, next door to Piggs Liquor. GREAT FOOD!

What's your story since high school?

It will take me awhile to remember... I'll fill this in another day.

Do you still see/talk to/hang out with any classmates? Who?

Still in touch with tons of classmates because I arrange our LP Class of '70 Reunions. My best friends in school were Pam Kabel and Barbara Bagley. I'm still in touch with both of them even though they both live far away from me (Florida & Australia). Email is wonderful!

What are your interests, hobbies, avocations?

I spent several years volunteering with the Birdcage Theatre in Oroville, on stage and off stage - selling tickets, baking cookies, working snack bar, etc.

Other interests are camping, traveling, reading, sewing, movies, hiking, 4 wheeling, etc. Maybe someday I'll write a book.

Do you travel much?

Yes. My previous job was working with foreign exchange students. The job took me to a different country every year. That job ended in 2001 after 9/11. The past few years I mostly travel to Baja, Mexico. We rent a house there on the beach. Here's photos of our beach house: http://picasaweb.google.com/BajaBeachVacation Come visit! We could have a mini reunion?

What countries have you been to?

Mexico, Canada, Carribean, Honduras, England, Scotland, France, Spain, Germany, Italy & Greece.

Have you done anything that would surprise us? Body piercings? Tatoos? Unusual trips, jobs, etc.

It would surprise the people who knew me that I did NOT go to college. However, I did take a class here and there.

What are some of your favorite movies? TV shows?

Some of my favorite movies are "What Dreams May Come", "Awakenings", "Only You", "Overboard", "Snow Walker", "The Long Kiss Goodnight" and "Death at a Funeral". I like movies that show a transformation. One of my favorite tv shows is "Biggest Loser" - again, I love the transformations.

What are the last 3 books you read?

Currently reading "Three Cups of Tea". Before that I read "Women of the Silk". I also read Amy Tan books, my favorite is "Saving Fish From Drowning". I like books about other cultures.
