I moved from Oroville in 1998 to Covelo working for the US Forest Service. I also lived in Susanville, Corning and and currently in Willows California.

I have a few distant cousins in Oroville. My sisters Sherrill and Debbie live in Woodland, Ca.

Probably not. Although I miss friends and the lake. Try to get over there once in a while.

Music and Sports sum up most of my time in school.

Playing music with Dave Durnell, Tom Noyer, Joe Johansen for school dances. Hitting two home runs out of the park in Orland my senior year. Playing the first basketball game in the new gym. Playing my drums for the school assembly with the Fruitbowl. Hanging on the senior lawn. Hiking up to the O before the Oroville/LP game to change it to LP. Those are just a few, but high school was fun.

I began with the Forest Service while in high school. I attended Butte College but continued with the FS. I retired from the US Forest Service after 37 year where I was a Division Chief in fire management. I traveled all over the US fighting wildland fires on Incident Management Teams. I played in several bands after high school, opening concerts in the 80s playing in a country band back then. Now, I'm having fun again out in the forest supervising inmate fire crews for Cal Fire. Still play the drums when I can.

I try to keep in touch with a few classmates. Most are on facebook or communicate through e-mails.

I still like to play music. Deb and I travel to the bay area often. I like to get out on the ocean and lakes in my boat. I hang out in the mountains when I can.

Not much now, but do travel a lot during the summer up and down the state going to fires. My new job has restricted my traveling but as I develop for vacation time I hope to do more traveling again. Soon I will retire again and hope to travel much more.

My fire fighting had led me to interesting assignments, from Fort Yukon Alaska into the bush from Eagle along the Yukon River, all the western states. Yellowstone fires in 1988, Oklahoma, Texas, defending homes outside Daytona Beach in 1998, to fires from Santa Cruiz, Big Sur, Malibu, San Diego, Carmel, Palm Springs. One fire in 1972 Vern Jones and I found us outside Windslow Arz. at Thanksgiving sleeping on the ground with 60 mph winds and 15 below, in paper sleeping bags at 6500 feet.

We played many of them in our band. To many to list I guess.
