Still have family around Oroville?

I never left Oroville. Although I no longer have any family here this just seems like home. My daughter, her husband and their new baby live in Chico as does my brother, Mike, and his wife Karen.

What's your story since high school?

I got married in 1973 to my first husband, who was from Stockton and divorced in 1977. I met Lonnie Wright and we got married in 1978. We had our daughter, Lori, on St. Patrick's day in 1979. After we divorced I went to work for Butte County; first at the D.A.'s Office and then the Sheriff's Office. I was the secretary in the narcotics unit for 5 years and then in the Investigations Unit for 8.5 years. I have been the coroner's secretary for 1.5 years. Great job with no two days alike. Plus, I can keep track of everyone....they either die or they contact our office because a relative has died.

Do you still see/talk to/hang out with any classmates? Who?

My boyfriend my junior and senior year was from Richvale so I didn't really hang around with anyone in my class at OHS. I still keep in touch with my friends in Richvale though.

What are your interests, hobbies, avocations?

I don't know how I got into it but I started doing counted cross stitch. It sounds like such an old lady hobby but I have created some beautiful pieces and have taken nothing less then blue ribbons home from the county fair.

I also love to enter 5Ks. I doubt that I will ever win any but at least I finish.

I did go whitewater rafting on the American River a few years back. That was a lot of fun except when I went head first into the river at 0700 hrs. It was freezing. Don't know if I would do it again or not.

Basically anything to do outdoors I'm up for. From flying kites to hiking, snowboarding, fishing....anything outdoors.

Have you done anything that would surprise us? Body piercings? Tatoos? Unusual trips, jobs, etc.

Probably everything I've done would surprise a lot of people.
