Bridget Spanbauer Gross

Moved to Virginia in 1987. Graduated from Old Dominion University in 1996 with a bachelors in Bus. Admin-major accounting; minor public law.

Up until July 2023, I worked for the New York Times as a Sr. Financial/Decision Support & Budget Analyst in Technology department the last 13 of 15 years of my employment with them. I had the privilege to work directly with the CISO and many other wonderful and talented folks in networking, cloud infrastructure, data base engineering, etc. which spurred my desire to do a career change. I am currently working through an 8 course Google Cybersecurity certification. I want to make a change by fighting cyber criminals and protecting businesses, people, and their private information.

I love to travel, go to the beach (Virginia Beach and the Outer Banks, NC), work in my gardens, relax in my hammock while reading a good book. (most of them about computers, networking, and cybersecurity).

As a Christian, I am closely involved with many members of my church. I praise and thank Jesus for all the blessings He has given me and my family. I certainly pray for all my classmates. He will do the same for those of you who are willing to seek Him out. You will never regret it! I don't and why I am advocating. I am forever changed!

a small group of us went on a "secret mission" through fields, woods, and ditches to get to the Leach mansion property, ducking every time we saw headlights, trying not to get caught. It was both exciting and scary.

Once we got over the fence and onto the property, we all swore we saw a ghost in one of the windows of the house. We were all so freaked out we ran like heck back to our cars (which wasn't exactly close to where the mansion was). I will never forget that night! My adrenaline level was off the charts!
