HI
Well it has been a sleigh ride, we were full timing in a RV when my wife Karen came down with Ovarian Cancer..needed to settle down quick.
We bought a home with acres near Pima AZ (look at 33N 110W and you are there) Plan was to move on once she was OK, but one thing after another 2008 hit, and this area of the Gila River Valley is known as the CCC area, Cattle, Cotton, COPPER. Copper tanked, hundreds laid off, miners, so they just up a left. So far no recovery, and not a chance of selling.
Moving to the high desert is interesting, positve, I never had any idea how much wild-life is out here, and they are all hungry. I love to garden, however in the desert (we get up to 8 inches of rain a year) most plants are either poison, or have large stickers. Other plants either turn brown and die, or get eaten.
My wife Karen has been working for a local company, but the local
economy did them in.
On the happy side, we have our restored Airstream, get away camping at least once a month..incredible places to go out here. In March we had our 30 wedding anniversary and took a terrific trip to Costa Rica.
PLans are, once things improve, to move back East.
Well we did move back East, to Pelzer SC, a relic of a old mill town, once home to Gerber Baby products. However we are near Greenville, a super city with all you need. Land to grow stuff on (and mow) Think we sill stay here awhile.
Remember my good buddy Harold Cook and his old Chev truck, that truck left this earth due to a tornado!!!!

Well, we are no longer living on the high desert in Arizona, got sick of sand and rattlesnakes. So we bought a small home near Pelzer SC, a Greenville SC neighbor. We lived near here 14 years ago, and decided to return, lots of rain, no snakes and the greater Greenville area is rated as one of the best places to live in the USA
