Martha Trueblood Tracy

I graduated from Baker University in 1982. I was a member of the sorority Zeta Tau Alpha. I have a dual major of a BS in Biology and Psychology. I was wanting to go to physical therapy school after graduation from college but went into the healthcare industry as a medical assistant for Mid-America Cardiology. I still work there but am now on the business end and am the Coding and Compliance Manager. I got married in 1982, had my daughter Tracy in 1989 and got divorced in 1999. I got remarried in 2003 and now my last name is the same as my daughter's first! My husband, who is a nurse, and I are co-owners of a healthcare coding business where we teach coding and billing classes once a week in the evenings. My husband has two children from a previous marriage and I have one, Tracy. She is a freshman at Baker and belongs to the same sorority, ZTA!

I was a bookworm in high school and didn't socialize much, had more friends at SM West since I lived so close to the cutoff line. But I do remember the football games and loved going to those. I remember Mr. Jernigan and the biology classes and almost catching the lab on fire with those dang bunsen burners! I also remember when the cows in the field across from South were painted green, can't remember if it was for St. Pat's day or one of the football games! Those cows are long gone!
