Admiring fans worldwide would like to know...Has anyone seen...F(X)? Woo Hoo!! Will they reunite for our 20th Reunion?

08/03/08 06:28 AM #18

Andy Sneed

Okay, Monique - Here's the scoop on f(x), since inquiring minds want to know. We (Greg Jenkins '86, David Hughes '86, Dave Johnson '89, and I) are still good friends and stay in touch regularly as much as we can. Dave Johnson still plays bass and has been in various bands in his spare time over the years. I still sing and play guitar some and started writing songs again a few years ago. We actually did get back together as a band "20th Anniv." in '05, which was great fun for us but...musically, I'm pretty sure it was obvious we hadn't played together in a long time! Sadly, no plans to reunite in October, but that may be for the best where everyone's ears are concerned! How about a Def Force reunion!

I'm with Andy... what about a Def Force reunion???
PS. Great website. I'm a frequent visitor. :)

So Andy,
What you are trying to tell us is...In October DEF FORCE will be in full effect?! No pressure, we could not do that to our fellow classmates...its ONLY our 20 Year Class Reunion.

Thanks Susan for showing some love for DEF FORCE!

DEF FORCE! DEF FORCE! DEF FORCE! DEF FORCE! DEF FORCE!

: ) Monique

You guys have worked so hard, the proof is in front of our eyes. I am so looking foward to getting away for a while. My son is in the Army, and my daughter is starting college the 16th of August. Mom needs a break!!! I can't wait to see a certain person who I noticed has not updated his profile....you know who you are so make sure you do that soon and post pics.....Thanks for all the hard work to make this possible.

I'll speak to the Def Force members!! And I think we will allow non-'88 grads that made of f(x) to come if they'll perform!!!

You all are great!!

Man seeing all these names dusts off the awkward memories of puberty. I think I am cooler than the big dork I was back then but man some people I know right away, some of ya'll I am waiting to find my yearbook to see if I can pull the former face out LOL. 20 years is a real long time. I can remember thinking that 40 was like ancient dude, now it is my plight.

I see the names of our classmates in the In Memory and I am floored. Is it too morbid to ask what happened, if so I apologize.

I have to admit, I have also visited this site quite often, checking to see who has info updated and what they are up to. Hats off to everyone's hard work planning the reunion. Great Job!!! I look forward to seeing everyone.

Def Force Reunion. Hmmmm.

I say put it up for a vote on the site.

I mean I'd rather do it now than the next reunion. Better do it now before I get arthritis in my scratching finger.

What do you say Willie T, MC-3D, DJ Guillotine?

DJ Lazy Lucky 7 is in....

The website is great! Thanks Amy and everyone for all of your hard work. I want to hear "Going down to Myrtle" so I am voting for a Def Force Reunion! Can't wait to see all of you!

I just want to say thank you to everyone that has work on this website. It has been great talking with people and seeing how much we have grown. Give yourselves a hand; you have done a wonderful job. I hope to see you all at the class reunion.

Amy Capps (Rice)

Thanks Michelle! Everyone keep spreading the word! There's still so many not logged on! Information was mailed to those people whose address we could find, but that was just a few. In a class of over 350, it's hard to find everyone....so we need to all work together to keep spreading the news. If you find someone that doesn't have internet access - get their address - we can mail the info out!

Thanks! It really has been exciting!

And we still need pictures!

You guys did a great job with the website! I can't wait to see everyone at the Reunion!

Thanks to whoever let Elaine Hanzer (former teacher/coach) know about the reunion site. She says she plans to attend. Does the class want specific faculty invited, select staff? Let us know who we should definitely try to hunt down.

I may talk to Ms. Seate well she is Mrs. Woltz now she was the P.E. teacher. Would that be okay?

That will be great. I would say that former staff should be invited for the "meet/greet" time at 7:00 and will probably stay for the beginning of the program at 8:00.

Or we could invite the staff to the picnic on Sunday. I like this idea too since everyone will be on their "best" behavior.

08/13/08 02:37 PM #38

Kathy Warren (Tucker)

I agree with inviting old teachers to the picnic. That way, our kids will be there too!

Cynthia Lumpkin (Peeden)

I agree with the picnic as well. I think that is a better time for old teachers to see us.

OK - I have a new idea. I know it is hard for some of you to scan pics and email them in. (Thanks to Liz Denny and Lisa Cannon Radford for sending some and to Kathy Warren Tucker for giving me actual photos)Um, I'm not too good at scanning! And I know everyone is probably a little nervous about sending me the actual photos. So....if you want to make your own memory display with some other classmate(s) (just put it on a cork board, poster board, etc.) then bring it Saturday night to the reunion, i can get some easels and we can display them in the lobby area of the country club. We could even make a contest out of - best display, greatest memory representation, ....I don't know - just thinking out loud. This way, there would be a good representation of all of us in the pictures, rather than the same people showing up in a powerpoint display because only a few were able to scan and send in pictures. What do you think??? Or should we not worry about taking such a long walk down memory lane - However - I do love the pics Latonia Hicks and Tonya Tyler have up!

I am at Webb every day and can scan in pics at home very easily... I would be glad for anyone to drop off pics in envelope at front office with my name and I can have then back in 24 hours or you could just pick up the orignals at the reunion...
