Happy Birthday, Orvy! I hope you have a great day! Stay well!!!
Happy Birthday, Mark! Good health and upbeat companions are my wish for you, as you Mark yet another year on the calendar. Have a happy birthday and do something that you enjoy, with someone you love. I’ll sing Happy Birthday in your honor, once again! And you’re in my thoughts.
Hi, Wilise! Happy Birthday!?? Are you staying warm in New Hampshire? I live in western Washington state, and we get our weather right off the Pacific, so our temperatures are often a little warmer than in the Midwest, or the east coast. Today we are getting a lot of wind, and it just sounds COLD outside. But I will be moving back to Texas the 2nd week of December. Not that it matters much: it gets cold there, too. And then it gets REALLY, REALLY HOT! Gotta have SOMETHING to complain about! I’m moving back to Dallas, near my daughter, Diana. I lived in Grapevine, TX for 18 years (1983-2001), so I know what I’m in for, this time. I’ve never lived in the East, but you have weather there, too, I’ve heard. I enjoyed living in the northwest, and I miss Ohio, but I’m up for a change. And I am looking forward to seeing some my old friends in Texas again, and having some good TexMex food! Seeing more sunshine is going to be especially nice!!!
I hope you have a particularly happy birthday today! I’ll Be thinking about you all day, and will sing Happy Birthday in your honor. I won’t have cake, but I’ll have a chocolate ice cream bar to enhance the celebration. I trust that your celebration will top that! Enjoy your special day, old friend!!! Love, Peggy.
Jill, we’ve been good friends since 2nd grade, when we were about 7 years old. We became pen pals when your family moved away from Oxford, and promised to meet up again for college at Miami University, upon graduating from high school in 1965. We continued our correspondence, with rare phone calls on birthdays and visits on the way cross-country and that one class reunion. We always have managed to have a blast when we’ve gotten together, and always treasured those letters. But who would have imagined that we could have kept up our friendship for over 6 DECADES?!!!?? (Well, you and I could have, of course. I mean, that WAS ALWAYS THE PLAN.). As for me, I plan to live past 100. Are you still up for it? I’ve always enjoyed having you as a friend, and the fact that you have a cute brother hasn’t hurt the deal, in my opinion, either! Be sure to tell David ‘hi’ for me! I’m living in Mt. Vernon, WA now, but am planning to move to the Dallas, TX area (again) this fall, to be closer to my younger daughter, since my older daughter and her husband just left Washington state and moved to Naples, Italy for the next 3 to 5 years. Tim is a civilian contractor with the Navy (after serving for 20 years). Lots of parallels, as you lived in WA in the 60’s, and now live in NAPLES, FL! We really need to get together again, and soon, to talk. But in the meanwhile, HAPPY BIRTHDAY, LILLIAN! Let me know your phone number so that I can call you. My cell phone number is (360) 391-2112, and I’ll be keeping that number when I move.
Love,
Peggy
