FINDLAY — Ron Dale Hohlfelder, 69, of Findlay, passed away at 2:23 a.m. Sunday, October 16, 2016 at the Bridge Hospice Care Center. He was born on April 28, 1947 in Ashtabula, Ohio. He was preceded in death by his parents, Harvey and Louise (Langton) Hohlfelder. On September 6, 1969, he married his high school sweetheart, Theresa D. Binns and they shared 47 years of marriage. Along with Ron and Terrie many other couples from the Riverside High School Class of 1965 have married and stayed extremely close throughout the last 51 years. Ron is also survived by two sisters, Karen Hohlfelder of Concord, Ohio; Debra Metcalf of Concord, Ohio; a brother, Harvey F. Hohlfelder III of Mentor, Ohio; five nephews; and two nieces.
Ron retired as plant manager of Cascade (formerly Kenhar and Dyson) following 42 years of service. Ron was an avid golfer, coaching the Findlay High School JV golf team for 3 years. He recorded a “hole-in-one” at the IMG Golf Academy in Bradenton, FL. He was a member of the Findlay Skeet Club and the Tuesday Night Discussion Group. He was a past trustee at the Findlay Country Club and sat on the board of the Hancock County Humane Society for 8 years. A time of celebrating Ron’s life will be held at COLDREN-CRATES FUNERAL HOME, Findlay on Wednesday, October 26, 2016 from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. A private burial will be held at a later date.

Bob and I were shaken by the news of Ron's passing. We have so many fine memories of him. You both are held tightly in our memories, especially in the early years of our adulthood. We will miss him. Our condolences to you.
