7/22 Update!

Oh, and BTW... feel free to show off your chukka boots, fringe moccasins, cut offs, bell bottoms, paisley button-up, or your favorite, 70's classic rock T!  Afterall, we did grow up in the coolest era of style and rock 'n roll!

RIP Ozzie Osborne

7/16 Update

Let's not miss this opportunity to reconnect, relive our crazy stories and laugh out loud, because...

WE MAY NEVER PASS THIS WAY AGAIN.

The grapevine has shared that many of you planning on attending have not yet signed up.  It will be helpful for the planning phase if you could let us know if you are planning to attend.

Lots of great plans for the golf outing, too!  If you are planning to golf, we will need you to confirm with Randy Gray by August 1st (if you have not done so already).

LET'S DO THIS!

The gift of 50 years!

No doubt growing up in our era, along with our shared past, helped shape our futures.

Fifty years is a daunting number, but I refuse to put an age on the reflection in my mirror!   Never should it hold us back from expressing that youthful spirit inside, of a life-time ago!

Let’s not pass up an opportunity to mark this milestone, by reconnecting with past friendships and memories!

In the past 50 years, we have lost some treasure.  In the same spirit of reconnecting, let's also bring the memories of our long-time friends who left us too soon.  We can all think of a few, who's smile and energy would light up the room!

Let's bring it all!

We will be holding our 50th over Palatine Street Fest weekend, which is Friday, August 22nd – 24th.  There are many advantages to holding our reunion over this weekend.   Their planning committee spares no expense in bringing the best talent/music and cuisine to Street Fest – great throwback bands, too!  Year after year, many Fremd and Palatine alum of all classes return to Palatine to reconnect at this festival.

To kick-off the reunion festivities, we have reserved Lamplighter’s @ 60 N. Bothwell St. in Palatine for Friday the 22nd.  We have the upstairs room along with the outdoor balcony from 5:30 – 9:30 PM.  We've booked a DJ for Friday night, to blast out music from 1971 - 1975.  Don't end the evening there... Street Fest will have plenty of live entertainment and food, late into the evening.

Saturday, again, will be centered around Street Fest.  We will post up a gathering location at the Towne Square (kitty-corner from Heng Wing) which has its own bands performing, along with games, bar, etc.  Looking at this as an outdoor meeting place to hangout or float in and out of.   We will have seating and a few tables set up with signs posted for our class reunion.

Randy Gray has put together a fantastic golf outing, and we will share the link as the page gets updated.  This page will provide details and a sign up page where you can either sign up as an individual participant or a foursome.

We have reserved a block of rooms at Hampton Inn & Suites/Deer Park.  You will find a link to reserve your room as well as updated restaurant information on the 'Viking Travel Servicves' page.

On the survey page you'll find a link for you to confirm your reunion attendence.  We of course will not hold you to it, even though we know Tim can be very pursuasive, just looking to track attendees for planning purpses.

If you’re interested in helping out w/ the reunion, or contributing to off-set reunion costs, please PM Tim Gross (if you can catch him, lol),  If you are interested in helping out w/ or contriubting to the golf tournament, please PM Randy Gray on the reunion site.

We have set up a class reunion bank account that should be attached to our website some time this week.  This will allow the committee to accept any golf tournament fees as well as class contributions to help offset the reunion costs. We will also attach the account to Venmo & Cash App.  We will let you know when that is set up and ready for use.

Our goal is to make this a no-cost event, however, you will be responsible for food and beverages!  We are hoping to offset as much of the reunion and golf tournamenet as we can, with class contributions.  We have approx. $700 left over from our 40th, and have already received a sizeable contribution.  We do not want to give anyone a reason to miss this EPIC event!
