I went to Harper for a couple of years and worked in the area. Attended Concordia College (now University) in River Forest from 81-85. Moved to Philadelphia and taught school for a year. In 86 I moved to Charleston SC and have lived here ever since. It's HOT. I lived through Hurricane Hugo. I've also come to love marsh birds, like herons and egrets, and seeing the ocean and the pelicans flying overhead. I've enjoyed the history of the east coast. I don't get back to Illinois as often as I'd like. I do miss family, friends, and things in the Midwest like lilacs and peonies and driving through farm country. Before I moved to Palatine for 5th grade, my parents farmed in southern Wisconsin, so both places hold fond memories for me.
