School Story
My first day at Paly I was not happy to be there. I missed my friends from Bakersfield. Our first gathering was at the amphitheater and the sophomores were directed to sit on the right side in the front. As I walked down the aisle, I wondered if the people I chose to sit next to would be my future friends at Paly. I sat next to Connie Herz, Pru Vyn and Heidi Thalmann. They are still my good friends and we still keep in touch. When my grandchildren have to change schools and are apprehensive, I share my story about my first day at Paly. It helps them deal with the anxiety of going into a new situation. I am most grateful for their friendship over the years.
