NEW EVENT FRIDAY AFTERNOON:  RSVP TO JAMES KELLY wisdom-futures2f@ icloud.com

Join an intrepid group of ’76 Paly Alumni on Friday, Aug 21, from 3 to 5pm for some "Top Golf" in San Jose. This is an optional, extracurricular, not-official, pay-your-own-way event. Schedule: Arrive and get ready to play 3-3:30PM. Play 3:30-5PM.   Top Golf is a super fun way to hang out, eat yummy appetizers or lunch/dinner, while experiencing the most fun gamification of golf yet.

You don’t have to bring your own clubs, Top Golf has quality clubs for free for men, ladies, left-handers, right-handers, kids, and toddlers for your convenience. You don’t even need to be a “golfer” to have a blast there. In addition to golf, there’s foosball, shuffleboard and a huge sports bar.  The facility in San Jose is close to our events, right off Hwy 237 near Levi Stadium.  Visit the site: https://topgolf.com/us/ san-jose/

We’ll get a set of booths next to each other for a couple of hours of fun. If turnout is good, we’ll get group perks and lower prices. No host food and drinks at the Patio in downtown Palo Alto: 412 Emerson St.

(YOU CAN ARRIVE EARLY AND ORDER A LEISURELY DINNER OR GET FOOD AT 7 OR LATER, EITHER WAY)

SECOND EVENT, SATURDAY MORNING, 10:45 AM:

TOUR OF THE PALY CAMPUS! 

Gather at 10:45 a.m. at the (fabulous, new Peery Gym) off of Churchill St.

2 hour tour -- bring water

Optional: brunch / lunch at Town & Country, before or after the tour. Keep in mind that our main event is only four hours after the tour is over. So plan accordingly.
(We will be starting the tour with the great Class of 1956!)

 

THIRD EVENT, BANQUET AT MICHAELS (by the Bay):

5pm - 11pm

FOURTH and FINAL EVENT--PICNIC AT FOOTHILLS PARK (Foothills Nature Preserve)

11am - 3pm

3300 Page Mill Rd., Los Altos, CA -- proceed to the Oak Grove picnic area at far end of the lawn

$6 entry fee per car (carpoolers meet at main Paly parking lot at 10:30am)

Bring your own lunch and / or bbq gear 

There are flush toilets at the picnic site as well as a water fountain/water bottle fill station.

Park rules:  No smoking/vaping  No alcohol  No drones  No dogs on weekends

Friends of Bill W. are invited to attend the Sunday 9 am Spiritual Step Study AA meeting on Stanford campus. It is held in Rogers House, near Tressider Union.
