Linda Ruth Meech Adkins died February 8, 2012 in Amarillo.

She was born to Charles and Dora Meech in Pampa and maried Allan Adkins on June 22, 1968 in Amarillo.

Linda was a talented young musician, attending Eastman School of Music in Rochester, N.Y., majoring in oboe and piano.

She also studied to be a real estate agent, a travel agent, a laboratory technician and owned a hobby ceramics store in Amarillo. Privately, she studied the Hebrew language and most recently, quantum physics and mechanics and outer space.

Survivors include her husband, Allan of Amarillo; two daughters, Amy Dixon and husband Philip and Katy Gerben, all of Orlando, Fla., and six grandchildren, Sage, Coral, Iris, Clay, Andrew and Scott.
