Cathy, know in her adult life as Kathy, passed away on January 6, 2007 from lung cancer, following a year-long battle with the disease. She is resting at the family grave of Athens Cemetery

She had worked as an executive secretary to the Ambassador from South Africa all her career, and had retired.

Cathy is survived by her husband, George; a sister, Mary; two brother, Thanassis and Andreas; 2 nieces and a nephew who has 2 children.
