Dr. Charles Barclay “Bud” Hammons, 72, died on December 28, 2020 at his home in Coyle, Oklahoma. His funeral service will begin at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, January 2, 2021 at the Strode Funeral Home Chapel in Stillwater, Oklahoma with interment following at Oak Grove Cemetery in Coyle. His service will be livestreamed from his personal obituary page at strodefh.com. Strode Funeral Home and Cremation is in charge of arrangements.
Charles was born on June 6, 1948 to Charles and Dorothy Hammons. He has lived in Dallas, Texas and Coyle, Oklahoma.
He was united in marriage to Mary “Midge” Graves on October 11, 1998 in Tahoe, California.
He worked tirelessly to further his education and earned his PhD in mathematics and worked as a Systems Engineer at Carnegie Mellon University.
In his spare time, he enjoyed his cattle and hunting.
He is preceded in death by his parents Charles and Dorothy Hammons.
Bud is survived by his wife Midge, Walt, Lora, brother-in-law Bill Graves, and numerous nieces and nephews.
