John Lynn Hollis was my cousin.  We went through all 12 grades together.  He was always kind of a quiet guy.  Never ever caused any trouble that I knew of.  Our family get togethers were so full of love and fun.  He went off to college and so did I.  He joined the service and served in Viet Nam as a Green Beret.  After his sevice, he went to college to become a preacher.  We lost touch with each other for many years, but was so happy that we reconnected several years ago and did some visiting off and on.  We were both working on our family trees and did share the information.

Then John developed cancer and he lost his battle with that disease on May 24, 2009.He had a beautiful family, one daughter, twin boys, many granddaughters.  Then since his passing, two grandsons were born.  One has the honor of being named after John with John being his middle name.
