Billy Joe Roden Jr.

PAMPA - Billy Joe Roden Jr., 53, died Thursday, Aug. 16, 2001.

Memorial services will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday in Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors Colonial Chapel with the Rev. John Valdez, pastor of St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, officiating. Cremation has taken place.

Mr. Roden, a graduate of Pampa High School and Frank Phillips College, earned his bachelor's degree from West Texas State University in 1975. He retired as senior analytical chemist from Texaco Oil and Gas Laboratory in 1998.

Survivors include his wife, Monica; two sons, Chris Roden of Pampa and Victor Roden of Amarillo; a daughter, Jennifer Roden of Pampa; his mother, Drama Lindsey of Pampa; a brother, Jerry Wright of Phoenix; a sister, Sandi Nickel of Aspen, Colo.; and a grandson.
