Martha Kovacs passed away on the morning of February 8, 2024, ending her battle with Alzheimer's disease.

Martha was born in Houston, TX, to Leona Maxine (McFadden) Stuart and Dock Arteak Stuart on April 29, 1948, and raised in Pampa, TX. In 1973, she moved to Porter, TX, with her husband Bill and raised three children.

She was a 1966 Graduate of Pampa High School, where she was involved with her school choir. In 1970, she graduated from Texas Women's University in Denton and Houston with a Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing and a minor degree in Psychology.
