Jon Harris Windsor, 76, of Pampa, TX, passed away on Thursday, April 4, 2024 in Fort Worth, TX.
A Visitation will be held on Thursday, April 18, 2024 from 1:00pm to 2:30pm at Shannon Rose Hill Funeral Chapel. Graveside Service will follow at 3:00 PM at Shannon Rose Hill Cemetery, 7301 East Lancaster Ave, Fort Worth, Texas 76112.
Jon Harris Windsor was born in Pampa, Texas to Wilbur and Katie Windsor on March 23, 1948. He attended Pampa Senior High school, class of 1966, in Pampa, TX. He graduated from Spartian School of Aeronautics in Tulsa, Oklahoma, with an FAA Airman degree in Airframe and Powerplant Mechanic after attending University of Texas at Arlington under a football scholarship. He retired from Bell Helicopter as a Top Security Level Master Mechanic.
He was involved in Arlington Sportsman Club and a Texas Longneck bass player with a band called, Kim O’Connor and Friends at the White Elephant Saloon. He co-wrote two songs, “Little Buddy” and “9-Pound Crappie". He was an avid hunting, fishing and shooting marksman. A fan of Nascar racing, little league baseball and Boy Scouts of America. In his spare time, he enjoyed playing with his yellow Lab, “Buddy”, bird watching and talking with his friends and loved ones. He received numerous awards and certifications in the aerospace industry, B.S.A. Eagle Scout level and master range shooter.
Jon is preceded in death by his parents and two siblings, Virginia and Jim Bill.
