Jerry and I grew up together in the same neighborhood, went to school together from Woodrow Wilson Elementary all the way to conclusion at Pampa High. I regretted to learn he lived in Canyon, and I never did cross paths in either Amarillo or Canyon. By great concidence, I had been in Pampa on September 30th of this year with engineers from Energy Transfer for lunch. On the way back to their office, we took a short cut across the railroad tracks near Jerry's boyhood home. I looked over and thought to myself, there's Jerry Wright's home. We used to meet at his house on our way to the baseball park at Optimist Park to practice baseball. The next night I opened my email at home to find Jerry had passed away that very day. I started asking my Canyon friends about Jerry, and everyone I spoke to had such great things to say about him. Then seems like just a short time later, maybe another month or two, when we lost Linda Hubbard. To lose them both is a big blow this close to our Reunion. May God keep them both in Peace in HIs Arms.
