Norman Rushing, pastor of Central Baptist Church, and Dr. Johnny Funderburg, pastor of First Baptist Church, officiating.BURIAL: Memory Gardens Cemetery with military honors courtesy of the U. S. Arrangements are under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors.BIOGRAPHY: Mr. Cochran was born May 9, 1948 in Mena, Arkansas, and came to Pampa at the age of 15 months. He was a 1966 graduate of Pampa High School. He entered the U. S. Army in 1969 and served in Korea during the Vietnam War. Darrell married Denia Herring on August 20, 1971 in Clarendon. He worked for Celanese Chemical Co. for 33 years, retiring in 2007. He was a member of First Baptist Church where he taught the 2nd grade Sunday School class. Darrell was a member of the International Plastic Modelers Society where he won numerous national awards for his scale model aircraft. He currently served as president of the Golden Spread Modelers.SURVIVORS: wife: Denia Cochran of the home; a daughter: Tracy Harris and husband Jason of Weimar; a son: Chris Cochran of Columbus, Ohio; his mother: Clarene Cochran of Pampa; 2 sisters: Cathy Seymour and husband Paul of Amarillo, and Debbie Campisi and husband Dale of El Paso; 2 granddaughters: Bailey Harris of Weimar and Kaylee Cochran of Amarillo; and several nieces and nephews.
