BEDFORD – Jarita Ann Rosenberger, 76, passed away Sunday, October 11, 2020, at IU Health University Hospital in Indianapolis.

Born July 2, 1944, in Lawrence County, she was the daughter of Robert and Jean Charlotte (Braxton) Turner.  She married Jon Rex Rosenberger August 10, 1968.

Jarita retired from Naval Surface Warfare Center—Crane in 1997.  She was the first female EMT in Lawrence County and was employed by Dunn Memorial Ambulance Service.

Jarite was a member of the Mitchell Presbyterian Church and Mitchell-Grissom Kiwanis Club.  She graduated from Paoli High School in 1962.  Jarita loved making Halloween costumes for her grandchildren and spending time with her family and friends.

Her parents preceded her in death.

Funeral service will be at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, October 15, in the Memorial Chapel of Chastain Funeral Home & Cremation Center with Pastor Je Lee officiating.  Burial will be in Mitchell Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. until the service on Thursday at the funeral home.
