I remember feeling a huge sense of relief the day we graduated from high school. I can say that started to really actually live my life from there. I look back on my high school self and do not really know that person. I tried going to the University of Utah, but that only lasted one semester. I was not in the mood to go to school. I entered the work force instead and stayed in retail hell for years. Let's not talk about that.
Six and half years ago I met my husband Jason. Not long after moving in together we both made the decision to go back to school. I started at SLCC, taking a few classes here and there. I decided on history for a major and transferred to Westminster two years ago because the U just wasn't expensive enough. I just graduated Magna Cum Laude. I'm still working at my secretary job for a motor company. Not my dream job, but in the economy, a job's a job, right?
Jason and I married last September at the Silver Fork Lodge in Big Cotton Wood Canyon. We enjoy spending time in the out doors. Jason is really into back country skiing and trying to get me into it. Chair lifts are just so convenient. We have also gotten into home brewing and might try making our own wine this year.
A few months ago we bought our first house. It is in my favorite neighborhood, the Avenues. We are turning into yuppies. We also just adopted a dog, Henry. We have had our cat Max for years now.
Anyway, that is what I've been up to. I'm looking forward to having a drink with people and catching up.
