Jean Carroll Swindell passed away on March 25, 2023 from complications due to leukemia. Jean grew up in Park Forest and lived for many years on Marquette Court. Attended Mohawk grade school, Westwood Jr High, and graduated from Rich East High School in 1964. Jean was involved numerous activities as Rich East including Band, Big Sister program, and Pep Club.  Jean worked in the public relations and hospitality industry work for several public relations firms. She often shared fond memories of her time as a Braniff Flight attendant from 1978-89 and was a member of Sisterhood of Braniff Flight Attendants. In the early 90's Jean returned to school earning both BA in public relations and a Masters from Southern Methodist University. Jean was an avid equestrian. She lived for a number of years on a horse ranch outside Dallas and for the past several years both in Dallas and on a ranch in west Texas near the town of Alpine.

In later years Jean attended many Rich East friend and alumni reunions. Jean is survived by her stepdaughter Wendy Burns Krisik, her brother Jim, two nephews Brett and Greg Carroll, her good friend of many years Jo Fedderman and many Rich East classmates who will miss her friendship and companionship.
