I found a few things that I have been carrying in my briefcase for quite sometime. My mother loved her heritage and her native home.
It will be 10 years on the 9th of June since my mothers passing. She always looked forward to her visits back home and to her friendships from her school days. I have more stuff in the folder. I just didn't want to over whelm you with old reunion stuff. Let me know if you would like me to send it over.
Myself and my siblings have all survived the passing of our mother, but with sorrow and deep regret. I am sure each of us has some special moments but to try and think of something more special than the next would minimize the most important thing we ever had, TIME. I could share the proud moment of her and I holding my game ball after my own homecoming football battle, The time in California at my Graduation from Army training and seeing her proud face when her three sons returned from the first Gulf War. Knowing how proud she must be to see her children raising her grandchildren with honor and respect as she had done. These things and so many more made being her son an honor. Cherish your time and make amends so that you never regret when you loose someone special.

Pamela Sue Chambers
Pamela Sue Chambers, age 56 of Okeechobee died Saturday, June 9, 2001, at Good Samararitan Medical Center in West Palm Beach. Born Oct. 25, 1944, in Hackensack, NJ., Pam had been a resident of Okeechobee since 1972 and was co-owner of Adron Fence Company. She was a fromer member of the Okeechobee Licensing Board, Chamber of Commerce and was an active member of th South Florida Fence Association and American Fence Association. In addition, Pam, a fromer third grade teacher, volunteered for serveral years with the Okeechobee High School and was the co-founder of the Desert Storm Support Group in Okeechobee. She was a member of the Okeechobee Church of Christ.
Preceded in death by her mother, Gloria Doxey, she is survived by her husband, Adron Chambers of Okeechobee; father, Robert Doxey of Park Ridge, NJ; three sons, todd Chambers and wife, Tricia, of Conrow, Texas, Ross Chambers and wiffe Norann of Port St. Lucie and Travis Chambers of Okeechobee; two daughters Coleen Kriss and Husband Ed of Indiantown and Cathy Yates and husband. Donnie of Okeechobee; foru grandsons, Donnie Ray yates of Okeechobee, Ry Chambers of Vero Beach, Bryce Chambers of Conroe, Texas and Layton Chambers of Port St. Lucie; four granddaughters, Tia, Toshia and Hailey Chambers all of Conroe, Texas adn Paige Chambers of Port St. Lucie;three brothers, Robert Doxey of Brookshire, Texas, Raymond Doxey of West Palm Beach and Bruce Doxey of Park Ridge, NJ; and two sisters Cathy Congalosi of Emerson, NJ and Chris Irwin of Milford, PA.

It is clear that Pam lived as she did in High School, putting 30 hours into 24, over achieving in everything she was engaged in. Although she only had 56 years she lived to be 100 on the score card. We will all miss her.
Having just learned of Pam's passing, I want to give my sympathy to the family. Pam and I got to know each other mainly through choir and girls' chorus. I don't know if she continued with her singing, but I know we both enjoyed it at the time, particularly when we participated in the production of Carousel. I can imagine how much you miss her, but know she was liked by all who knew her.
