MARYANNE ZODA OBITUARY

Obituary of Maryanne R Zoda
On Sunday May 22, 2022 Mary Anne "Reilly" Zoda passed away peacefully in her sleep. She was 77 years old and had suffered from a myriad of medial issues resulting from a car accident in 1979.
Reilly is survived by her loving sisters, Eileen and Bernadette, her extended family, including a son, Ian and 2 grandchildren, Ianna and Aaron, and her loyal pup Scruffy who stayed by her side all the way until the end. She was a long time lover of cats but soon turned into a dog person once Scruffy came into the picture.
Reilly pursued a career in nursing in her 40's and became a NICU nurse as well as a skilled L&D nurse. She spent several years working as an RN in Saudi Arabia which led to travel to so many wonderful places around the world.
She will be remembered as the "intellectual" sister having amassed a very large collection of books on history and crafts.
If you ever needed a better friend to travel with, Reilly was it. Her thirst for knowledge meant you hardly ever needed a guide book.
She was an adamant quilting and handwork enthusiast. She spent much of her free time and retirement crafting the most beautiful handmade pieces for friends and family.
For the past 30 years she lived with her middle sister Eileen, worked as a nurse and co-ran their pet friendly B&B in Tucson AZ. She absolutely loved having new and exciting guests for dinner and many became dear friends.
Throughout her life she was very active in singing with The Sweet Adelines and also volunteered her time to The Friends of the Tucson Library.
Reilly was a passionate soul who lived a colorful life full of knowledge and zeal. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
The family plans to have a memorial ceremony on the occasion of her 78th birthday October 27, 2022. Details will be announced closer to that date.
