Foster (Rusty) LaBarre

Hey Everyone, Linda-Jean recently reminded that 2024 marks 60 years since graduating. Any interest in a reunion? Not sure spearheading the effort is in my purview but we (Janet Wagner-LaBarre and I) would be willing to help what we can from FL. Spending some time in NJ in June of 2024 fits well with our other travel plans.
Wishing you a healthy, prosperous 2023 and Blessings to all.

On Ken Matthew's page, there is a picture of young classmates.  I believe John Riley is in the back row, far left.

Hello Classmates

Just an update, I'm sure most of you heard the the passing of John Riley.  Don Sullivan and I were working  on the issue of finding a relative after his  neighbor contacted me, Linda-Jean, on our PHS64 facebook account looking to possibly help find relatives and help with a memorial service.  Don is one of the officials in the Steel Workers Union and he was attempting to help look for Union benefits and/or family.

Someone finally after couple months came and took care of everything, I am assuming his late half-sister's daughter.  Unfortunately no one got back to us as for a Memorial Service or any other information.  So I guess Don and I are off the case and everything as far as his remains have been handled, we have no other information. RIP classmate John.

Since sending out the email about John, I was also contacted by Kathy O'Rourke's husband and Kathy passed away a few years ago.  Sadly he said she suffered for some time.  So, say a little prayer for Kathy RIP.

Also, as some of you may know, Edith Holloway-Yates suffered a stroke on Jan 22/2023.  I spoke briefly with her husband, Gary,  which has taken a toll on him, thankfully daughter Sara is home helping.  Edith is in a rehab facility and as of now facing the issues related to stroke victims.  It would be nice for classmates to send a card to cheer her up or any other thing you wish to do, visit, plants or things as such.

I will be sending flowers and will also add PHS64 Classmates onto the card.

Here is the address:

If you need Gary's phone contact me at 720-979-8485 or LindaJeanBoyer@gmail.com

Best to you all

Linda-Jean

Happy New Year to all PHS'ers who are still alive and kicking.  What happened to the reunion in 2024? Awaiting our first grandkids in March, twin boys, can't wait.  Pic is a pub in Ireland during recent trip enjoying my favorite activity there.

Foster (Rusty) LaBarre

Hey Rich, Happy New Year to you and yours! The reunion happen on May 4th at the Lake Parsippany Clubhouse. It was reasonably well attended; maybe a few more than 30. Having twin grandchildren to spoils is wonderful. I have a pair if 13 year olds who act like they're 23. Enjoy!

Good to hear from you Foster !!  We're all certainly getting "long in the tooth".  PHS doesn't seem all that long ago.  Any Vietnam vets out there having Agent Orange issues?
