School Story

Memories of playing spades on the grass during lunch time. Petitioning the Pasadena School Board to allow the Class of 1978 to graduate in the Rose Bowl. The Class of 1977 from JMHS had hired a helicopter to drop Blue and Gold streamers over the Rose Bowl during the graduation. Someone lit fireworks and a females graduation gown caught on fire. That’s the reason the School board cancelled any future graduations for John Muir High School students. We organized, protested and won the right to have our graduation held in the Rose Bowl...I met my first love at JMHS.
