Comments:
I was married to Timothy Roach from July 30, 1994 to May 2008. He joined the Army in Aug. of 1996 & went to Basic at Ft. Sill, OK. He went to Advanced Training at Aberdeen, MD. His 1st duty station was Seoul, South Korea from March 1997-March 1998. During his training & 1st duty station, I continued to live in Hot Springs & work.
He was stationed at Ft. Hood, TX from March of 1998-Nov. 2003. He went to Kuwait for a while during that time. After he got out of the Army, he worked for an overseas contractor for 2 1/2 yrs. He was in Iraq most of that time.
I came back to Hot Springs in March of 2005 to help my Dad recover from his heart attack & surgery. Sadly, he passed away on April 14, 2005. After the funeral, I decided it was time to come home for good. I officially moved back in June of 2006.
Neither Tim nor I was mature enough to do what it took to save our marriage. We spent the better part of 5 yrs of our 1st 10 years married, apart. We grew apart & that was hard to overcome. We both regret our divorce & have remained friends.
