Amy , it was good hearing from you. I have a brother older than me that is very much involved in music. He plays guitar, banjo , base guitar. My dad taught him when he was 3 years old . I would love to see him get together with us all for a big musical. He is bad on Lennard Skinner and Wille Nelson stuff. My dad always played the mandolin. He was a blue-grass person. When I was younger we lived by Lon Gillis and our Dads would play on Saturday nights. This was way before Neil and Edgar and them started their group. Dad use to teach Neil things too. Dad once said that his daddy thru an old banjo in the dumpster and that Mr Gillis's family got it out and restored it and that was what they played on back then. My brother plays good religious songs too. He was taught by ear to play.

Dear #24 being you can't get #10 to respond to your message I'll talk to you. If you don't mind someone that can't read or write' and sometimes don't even make any senses. How have you been doing latety? Fine I hope! As for me I've had to quit deer hunting you do remember how much I loved it? I've almost had to give up fishing! I've got about 4 pounds of metal in my back and can't stand much of it at a time. The rain and cold really gets me down. But I bet I'm still a better shot with a firearm and better caster with a reel and rod than that #10 is!!!!!I should not have said that. It might of made him mad. O well maybe it will make him mad enough to say something. That was really lame to say. Don't you remember how quite and shy he was in school? Yea right! Well I'd best go for now it was really my pleasure chatting with you even if it was to myself? Keep up the good work and always give the GLORY to GOD!!!!!Always #24

I met Eddie Lott's oldest daughter this week-end . She is very pretty, married with kids. He has a little boy named Willis that looks identical to Eddie in school. He also has a daughter about 12 or 13 too. His sister says he lives in Albany Ga. I know you guys remember him. He was always quite and shy.

The main thing i remember about Eddie was, maa'n i sure did like sitting close to him or Bryant Lott, especially during test time. (so they could cheat off my paper and pay me for it). Great to come on here and see where everybody is keeping in touch. I, like everybody else had a great time @ the reunion. I could not have got up there in front of everybody and talked very much, like Lon did. He is still a clown. As for me, it would have been boring for all of you to listen to. It took until i was probably
25 or 30 but i finally matured and rarely smile or laugh or cut up. Strickly business for me. I DO PRAY that we ALL will be able to make the next reunion and many more to come. Love you all like brothas and Sistas

Did Atco ever win a football game? I read in the AJC week or so ago that we were one of 22 teams left in the state that hadn't won a game this year. But, the good news was the two games left were with teams who had won two or less games, so we were supposed to have a real good chance! I have my fingers crossed! What's the world coming to...we had a great football team in 1979!

11/14/09 11:42 PM #172

Melanie Coffee (James)

Hey Scrawny! Thanks for birthday greeting...and thanks Darlene...I did see your message on Facebook before I left town!

Who's coming to Pearson for Thanksgiving? Sherry and I were talking about getting together over Thanksgiving weekend...maybe dinner and diet coke...lol! I'm thinking Danny's Pizza...it's been forever since I've been there! Or, we could go somewhere and watch the GA/GA Tech game?? Whatcha think?? Where is Mark?

11/15/09 08:45 AM #173

Sherry Tucker (Haskins)

Danny's sounds like the perfect place to start out anyway. We SGC girls used to go there for lunch about 3 times a week, remember, Marsha? After the diet coke and pizza, I'm sure we could find somewhere else to hangout. Let's tentatively plan on that, can we? Everyone spread the word...

If I get home that weekend I would love to see you all.

Yes, Sherry, I think I ate more pizza and "Salad Supreme" than I should have that year. However, I always manage to get to Danny's when I go see Mother. It's not a trip home without it.

Keep posting! Love to each of you!!

Good morning ladies,
First, I would like to help Darlene. The numbers Carl mentions, are our numbers when we played football. Carl was #24, Sid was #10, I was #82 and so on. BTW, we also had a good football team in 1978. We won the first ever Region Championship that year over Charlton County. We won 9-7 and someone kicked a long field goal to win it, but I don't remember his name. :)

Melanie...Happy Birthday! I spoke with Janet Corbitt today and she missed the reunion because of a family emergency. I told her some of "the girls" may get together Thanksgiving weekend and she was excited about it. Tammy & Pam want to come too, so when you all get the date and time set, let everyone know. Hope everyone is doing well. I'm looking forward to my Thanksgiving vacation!! Hope to see you soon! Love to all-Amy
