I don't have a clue where Lake Seminole is, but it sounds like FSU country. Forrest, did you defect ( or whatever?) Your place sounds wonderful, though. I think most of us have to travel anyway, so does it matter where we meet?

Carl, don't you feel bad for a minute. We will work it out. I actually like the idea of going to the Rat Hole. (Did I say that right? After you actually type it it looks kinda funny.)

We are a lucky bunch of people. Much love to all.

Hello everyone......I can't type much because I'm at work but I wanted to at least say "Hello" to everyone per Michael's request(great idea) . I like all of the ideas you guys are coming up with and hope it will soon come to life. I also want to take this opportunity to tell you all how much it meant to get flowers when Dad passed! In fact, I made sure to keep that plant and haven't killed it....yet! The flower fund is an excellent idea so I hope to see it continue. I'll close by giving a little advice.......CALL YOUR PARENTS OFTEN!! It's tough not having them around. Love you all and I look forward to getting together again. ~E~

Hey, Carl, no sweat! We'll find another place to get together and hear those good ole tunes!

Yep, Elbert, you are right about parents...I still miss my mom every day. And you better keep that plant alive for the class of '79.

Shirley, lake seminole is a 37,000 acre lake in extreme southwest Georgia, right on the Fl and AL line. Its where gnats were invented.

Thanks for educating me on some of the finer points of geography in south Georgia! Forrest, I am going to find a map! Surely I can find Lake Seminole if it is that big!

As for the gnats, are you sure they don't come from Atkinson County? I always forget just how annoying they can be and have to re-learn how to blow/puff/blink/squint--how to continually exhale without ever an inhale to replenish! Ah, gnats--if that is the only flaw in south Georgia we are alright. It is God's own paradise--or maybe it is just home.

I am positive. I thought Atkinson county was bad too. After being here for 3 years I have learned differently, this is the gnat capitol!

I beg to differ you guys. Maggie and I lived on the coast for two years, my family still lives there, which means David, Maggie and I visit alot. There is NOTHING worse than those invisible SAND KNATS!! AAUUGHHH!!

10/23/09 09:59 PM #138

Melanie Coffee (James)

Kim, you are so right about the sand gnats! When I lived in Brunswick, we had so many we sold 'em to the neighboring states!

10/24/09 02:39 AM #139

Forrest Paulk

Maybe so, but the gnats down here have a bad attitude!
I think they were bred with africanized gnats, you know, KILLER GNATS!

Hello out there!

This is the first time I've checked the WebSite since the reunion. First, they still make Sloe Gin ladies. Second, I cannot believe that Michael and my Cuz, David didn't ask me to sing with Heavy Traffic. I used to travel with them and help load and unload the gear. I did have a blast at the reunion and am game for anything that everyone wants to do. I think the old Rat Hole would be the perfect place to have a get-together. I'm sure we could get it for next to nothing. If someone could get me Roach Cartwright's phone number, I'll give him a call. I would also like to say that I'm sorry for being a bad influence on CW. :) After reading all of these postings, I'm shocked at what party animals you girls were. You should have let us guys know and I/we never rolled anyones yard. That was mean. :) I really had a blast the whole weekend of our reunion.

Good morning #24,

We did have a great time on the field and kicked a lot of butt also. It was a great feeling when we won the first Region Championship the school had ever won and then won it again our Senior year in the next class up. Those were the good ole days. It was great seeing you after all these years. My wife has mentioned you many times, saying how funny and crazy you still are and I just tell her you were that way back in school also. I still find it hard to believe all of these BAD girls we had in school doing the wild thing. :) Later CW

Mark

Dear # 10 if you are out there I sure would like to hear from you. I promise I don't hold no hard feelings against you for all those head butts you gave me in July Mullis' room. I don't even mind the knots that you gave me with that brand new class ring on the back of my noggin. Actuauly I rather enjoyed them. I'll let you do it again if it will get you to talk to an old gray headed team mate. But I also still have nightmares about all the times I said ouch or orwee orwee!!!!!!Nothing but love for you and to you and yours....#24

Hi Darlene, So good to know you are on here. I was asking Margret Davis about you the other day. Its funny to hear my son come up with a song from our past school years, that he likes and I will laugh at him because I already knew it exsisted. Most of them were hits in our days.He tries to pop quiz me on some he likes to see if I remember them. He cuts on me sometimes on our dress codes and hair dos.

Good morning to all- It's getting a little cool in South Georgia! The temperature was 37* this morning. Great deer hunting weather! It was nice to hear from Mark, Darlene and Linda. I wish more classmates would use this message forum. Shirley Rose, I'm like you-I've gotton slack in checking the message forum. There's alot going on right now with work & family in my life. Sometimes I think I'm too old to be raising 3 teenagers. I'm sure my girls think I am!! They think I'm too strict...they should have lived with my parents!! Hope all is going well for everyone. Kim...loved your pictures of the pumpkin patch! Too cute! Janet Corbitt...the big buck is chasin'the doe right now...better get your hunting gear and come see your mom & dad. I've seen more big bucks this year than I've seen in a long time! Tammy...let Charles in on this info...I'm sure he'd love to know. (Like he doesn't know already) Forrest...is your place close to The Oconee River and Milledgeville? My sense of direction is 0! A friend of ours has a place on a lake and we spend several weeks during the summer up there. Carl...I think you should be our official news person. I enjoy reading your messages! Something in each one seems to make my day brighter and bring a smile to my heart. Thank you, for your humor...love ya! My vote for getting together for a "Heavy Traffic Jam" is YES!! I would love for my children to hear you guys play some "real" music. My oldest son, Jeremy, is a really great drummer and I'm sure he would love hear our famous group. Just wanted to say hello and say that I think of you often and pray things are going well for all-Love to everyone-Amy
