CLASS OF 79!
After graduating from high school, I received my BBA from Georgia Southern College/June 1983. I am employed with Hospital Corporation of America (HCA), as the Director of IT at Fairview Park Hospital in Dublin, Georgia. I have worked in healthcare for the past 26 years. The company owns 184 hospitals worldwide so I have been very fortunate to take advantage of many of the opportunites available.
I have two nephews and two neices who are my pride and joy!! Kelly Andrew Morris, 23 in college at ABAC in Tifton working on his bachelors degree in AgriBusiness. Riley Jacob Morris, 18 attending Waycross Jr. College, he's not sure of his career path as of yet. My two neices, Mary Elizabeth Johnson, 14 a 9th grader in Charlton County High School and Julianna Morris Johnson, a 5th grader at Charlton County Middle School. If you could see them, you would think they were my very own children and we all look alike!! We have a great time when we 're together. I've told them lots of stories about the "good ole days' especially when we went to the Rat Hole for dances. When riding around, they can't believe we didn't have cell phones. They always say, "Aunt Marsha you are so crazy"!! Especially when I dance around the house like we used to at the Rat Hole. I love spending time with all of them together as a family, but I also enjoy the one-on-one time we have together as well. They all love the outdoors, inculding the girls, so opening day of Dove Season is pretty special for the Morris'. It's just the family, my uncles, all my first cousins and their children. These truly have been the best of times.
If I'm not working, I'm playing golf!! Last year I was fortunate enough to win the Ladies Club Championship at the Dublin Country Club. I always refer to this as "a bad day on the golf course is always better than a good day in the office"! I absolutely love it!!!
I'm a big Bluegrass fan! My two best friends and I go to Merlefest every year for one of the "best in the business." We've been 9 years in a row. It's like walking in heaven for 4 days, full of pickin and grinnin. I tinker with the guitar, banjo, and mandolin. Not too accomplished, but, it's a lot of fun! I play the organ at Holy Family Catholic Church when I go home.
I still enjoy all sports, hunting, fishing and living life to it's fullest! I haven't changed much as you will see, maybe a few gray hairs and a few more pounds. I'm still the same ole Marsha Louise Morris you all knew in school and guess what?? I found out Mama's and Daddy's are always right!!!
I can't believe we've been out of school 30 years, looking forward to seeing all of you!
