Pecos High School
Class Of 1992

Campuses then and now
......how their looks have changed
Austin Elementary Then 1-6 Now 1-3 A new gym has been built and they are in the process of building new wings where our playground was for 4-5 grade. Once completed, they will knock down the front of the school (the original wings)
Pecos Elementary Then 1-6 Now closed
Bessie Haynes Then 1-6 Now 4-5
Lamar Elementary Then 1-6 Now AEP
Carver Then AEP Now closed
Zavala Jr. High Then 7 Now Head start
Crockett Jr. High Then 8 Now 6-8 A new gym is in the process of being completed. The football field area has all been redone including new tennis courts. An addition has also been built to help house the 6th graders.
Pecos High School Then 9-12 Now 9-12 A nice softball field is now where the majority of the football practice field was. The football field is turf instead of grass. "A" building is not what they call it now and when you do the kids look at you like you are from another planet. Freshman hall is now the hall where Brother Workman's class was. They have new lockers and paint. Sadly, pep rallies just aren't what they used to be. The kids are no longer allowed to do S-E-N-I-O-R-S and bang on the lockers etc. The band is not quite a quarter the size it was (literally they take up only one pull out section of the bleachers and have wiggle room). There is no freshman cheer squad. Basically there isn't much different about the structure just what goes on inside. Most of our teachers have moved on or retired BUT there are still a few of them up there--Brother Workman, Miss Scown, Miss Capshaw, Mrs. Ivey, Mrs. Galindo(Secretary), Mrs. McNeil(now teaches), Mr. Connor(now librarian), and Coach Morse.
