It is with a very heavy heart that I post this very sad news that Sharon (Fields) Malaspina passed away. At this time, her service is noted but her obituary is not yet posted on the Nardone website. Please be sure to check the website for further informtion.
Since high school, I have been told over the years how much Sharon and I resembled one another. I never saw it and I don't believe Sharon saw it either, but many people have said it so it must have been so. The one thing she and I definitely had in common was our love for our husbands and being a part of their Italian families. As sad as I am that Sharon left this world, I cannot help but feel so incredibly happy for her that she is reunited with the man she loved, Bobby Malaspina. I know it was a joyous reunion and I believe with all my heart that her smile is huge and she is in a very happy place.
Kathi and I finally convinced her to attend the last reunion we had in 2018, and I will be eternally grateful that I got to see her again.
On behalf of the PHS class of 1969, I would like to extend all of our condolences to her family and friends. May they carry her in their hearts always.
Rest in peace Sharon. You will be missed.
With love, Betsy

I remember many days walking past her house on the way to mine up the hill on Main Street.Although we didn't go to the same school we were always friendly... and that is what is so great about Peekskill, everyone got along and grew up together
May she Rest in Peace. Amen

I'm so sorry to hear of the passing of Sharon. I will always cherish the memories we shared and the fun we had at practices and games as cheerleaders. It's so sad when we lose someone from our past. I enjoyed sitting with Sharon at our last reunion and was glad we had the opportunity to catch up on our lives.
My prayers and thoughts are with her family and friends.
Rest in peace Sharon.
