Helen Guski (Moschiano)

I was just made aware that Helen Guski has passed away.  I am truly sorry to hear this.  I will always remember back in 5th grade when we first met.  She was always a positive and upbeat person.  Rest In Peace Helen.

 

Helen May Moschiano, 69, a longtime Beacon resident, passed away on September 10, 2020 at her home. She was born in Yonkers, NY on July 5, 1951, daughter of the late William & May B. (Glover) Guski. Helen was a graduate of Peekskill High School, class of 1969; she later went onto secretarial school.

Helen worked for many years as an accounting administrator for the Service Merchandise Store in Fishkill, NY until the store closed.

Helen was a beloved mother, grandmother, sister; Helen will be remembered for being a great friend to many. She had a deep love of country, extremely patriotic, she always wore proudly her nation’s flag. She also loved watching the birds… 

Helen is survived by her two daughters: Vicki M. (Kevin) Moschiano and Michele Torres; her 3 grandchildren, Eric (Manuela) Moschiano, Jackelyn Torres and Nicolle Torres; and also 5 great-grandchildren: Desmond, Joseph, Jacob, Hudson and Lennox. Helen is also survived by her two brothers, William Guski and James (Kay) Guski; and her best-friend “sister”, Carol (Dave) Schlemmer. She was also a special aunt to many of her nieces and nephews.

Along with her parents, she was predeceased by her sister, Katherine ‘Cookie’ Simmons Litchauer and her son-in-law, Jose Torres.

A Private Graveside Service will be at held at St. Joachim Cemetery, 325 Washinton Avenue, Beacon.
