Robert A. Malaspina (1951 - 2013)

Robert A. Malaspina, of Cortlandt Manor, NY passed away on February 5, 2013 in Myrtle Beach, SC. He was 61 years old. Robert was an Operations Manager for Metro-North Railroad, retiring two years ago. He also owned & operated "Golf Link" making custom Golf Clubs and Accessories.

He was born on March 2, 1951 in Italy to Peter and Mary Zinno Malaspina. Robert attended local area schools and also Park College. On December 30, 1970 he married Sharon Fields at the Assumption Church in Peekskill. Locally, he was a member of the Christopher Columbus Society and currently Third Counselor in the organization.

He is survived by his wife Sharon Malaspina of Cortlandt Manor, his mother, Mary Malaspina of Peekskill and three children; Christopher (Tara) Malaspina of Wappingers Falls, Dennis (Judy) Malaspina of Hamilton, NJ and Andrea Malaspina of Cortlandt Manor and a cherished granddaughter Ava Malaspina. Also surviving are two sisters and two brothers; Anna Maria (Joseph) Smith of Peekskill, Frank (Helene) Malaspina of Cortlandt Manor, Peter Malaspina of Buchanan and Cecilia (Frank) Pugliese of Peekskill. Also surviving is his sister-in-law, Roseann (Mark) Sullivan and an aunt, Antoinette Malaspina, along with twelve nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his father, Peter Malaspina.

Visitation is Saturday, 7-9pm and Sunday 2-4 & 7-9pm at the Joseph F. Nardone Funeral Home, Peekskill, NY. Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Monday, 10:00AM at the Assumption Church. Private Cremation Service will follow.
