Michael T. Fitzgerald of Cortlandt Manor, NY passed away on July 22, 2014. He was 65 years old. Mr. Fitzgerald was an Exterminator for J. P. McHale in Buchanan, NY. He was born on December 1, 1948 in Peekskill, NY to Thomas and Lucy Dowd Fitzgerald. Michael graduated from Peekskill High School in 1967. He served in the US Army from 1968 to 1970 during the Vietnam Nam era. He is survived by his wife Linda Portes-Fitzgerald of Cortlandt Manor, and three children from a previous marriage; Michael Fitzgerald of Myrtle Beach, SC, Michelle Fitzgerald of Myrtle Beach, SC and Stacey (Richard) Spencer of Tennessee and a grandson Jacob Elder. Also survived by three brothers and three sisters; Patrick (Pat) Fitzgerald of Florida, Kathy (John) Townsend of Staten Island, Thomas (Marilyn) Fitzgerald of Cortlandt Manor, Anne (Richard) Gile of Poughkeepsie, Joseph (Valerie) Fitzgerald of Putnam Valley and Elizabeth (John) Riley of Montrose. Visitation is Thursday, 3pm to 7pm at the Joseph F. Nardone Funeral Home, Peekskill, NY. Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Friday, 11:30am at the Assumption Church.
