Today, I received notification from Aurora Sciullo of the passing of Karen Newman, PHS class of 1967. May she Rest In Peace and may her family and friends find comfort from their loving memories of her.

Died: Mar 11, 2023 

Karen Jean Knapp passed on and gained her angel wings on Saturday 3/11/2023. She was born December 27th 1949 to her parents Jean Joy & Kenneth Newman who have pre deceased her.
Karen is survived by her husband of 18+ years Richard C. Knapp of Lake Peekskill where they lived for 40+ years, becoming well known and respected within the community.
Karen has 3 surviving siblings. Sisters Kim Conklin (Michael)& Pamela Green and 1 brother Kieth Newman (Cheryl)
Karen has 4 children, daughters Georgine Bagnato (Joseph) & Stephanie Vogt, sons Donald Vogt (Sandra) & Michael Vogt (Sherri)
10 grandchildren Ashley Mulleady (Dan) Caitlyn Bagnato (pre deceased), Alexys Vogt, Hailee Bagnato, Chelsi Vogt, Mckenzie Costa, Lynzi Vogt, Kamryn Costa, Kira Vogt & Devin Vogt.
3 great grandchildren Hudson, Maverick & Grayson Mulleady.
Countless extended family members & friends especially Pam & Allen Travis.
Karen will be sorely missed and forever in our hearts.
Visitin hours will be on Wednesday March 15th from 4-8 PM at HERITAGE FUNERAL HOME, Morrissey Drive, Putnam Valley. The Funeral Service will be on Thursday at 11 AM at the funeral home and interment will follow at Hillside Cemetery
